Expert Pool Coping Replacement
Protect the structural integrity of your pool while enhancing its beauty. We specialize in the professional installation of natural stone, brick, and concrete coping.
What is Pool Coping?
Coping is the "cap" or edging that sits on top of the pool wall (the beam). It provides a finished edge for swimmers to grab onto and separates the pool shell from the surrounding deck. More importantly, it prevents water from getting behind the pool shell and causing structural cracks or "beam failure."
Natural Stone Options
We offer beautiful Travertine, Flagstone, and Bluestone coping that stays cool to the touch and provides a timeless look.
Structural Integrity
Properly installed coping includes a waterproof expansion joint (caulk) to allow the deck and pool to move independently.
Signs Your Coping Needs Replacement
- Loose Stones: If the coping stones "wobble" or have come detached from the mortar bed.
- Cracked Beam: Visible cracks running horizontally through the mortar or the stones themselves.
- Deteriorating Material: Brick or concrete coping that is crumbling due to freeze-thaw cycles or salt exposure.
- Failed Caulk Joint: When the perimeter caulk has separated, allowing water to penetrate the beam.
